This is education?
Whitestone: I really don't know how to express my disgust for the N.Y.C. public school system anymore. There are 1,395 teachers sitting in "reserve." Yet last week, my son, in his new middle school, spent three periods (40 minutes each) in the auditorium watching "The Incredibles" because his teacher was absent. I'm truly at a loss for words.

Maybe, someday, the media will actually pick up on the ugly truth that is the DOE and stop blaming the teachers as if we are the scourge of society.
We can only hope.
