Thank you...

...to whoever nominated me for the Teablog award. I am very flattered, and I appreciate it.

That's all, for now. What DOES a teacher write about during the summer? I may start with my fixation on young adult literature. I finished Gathering Blue by Lois Lowry in a day and a half, and am now working on Messenger, the "companion" book to Gathering Blue. Very good so far.

Hey, Miss Malarkey, Congratulations on your award!
What did you think of "Gathering Blue"? I liked it- it seemed to have the same feel to it as "A Handmaid's Tale", by Margaret Atwood.
Hope you are enjoying your summer!

I remember enjoying Gathering Blue, though it seemed not much different from The Giver. I will have to give Messenger a try.

What other books are on your reading list?

What do we talk about? Anything we want, because we can pull our heads up from a stack of papers!
